Proactive measure against toner leakage
[Description]
With the machines prior to the below countermeasure cut-in serial numbers in factory, if the amount of grease applied on the
connection arm for toner supply on the rear side of the hopper unit is insufficient, the boss on the connection arm for toner supply
may be broken, and this may lead to a toner leakage. Apply the UD-321 grease on the next service visit following the [Servicing
work] as a proactive measure.
[Service work]
Bring the following four items to visit customer for servicing:
- Grease application rod set (FM1-F729-000)
- Flashlight
- UD-321 Grease (FY9-6037-000)
1) Open the front cover and remove the toner bottle.
2) Place the sheet [1] that constitutes the grease application rod set in the hopper unit. As the points [a] are the locations to apply
the grease, place the sheet so that it reaches the rear end. As the sheet [1] has front side and back side, attach it with its white
front side faced upward.
[Note] Do not push the sheet [1] in too forcefully. If the spring is pressed too forcefully, this may hinder the insertion of the toner
bottle.
